[SCIA] Stem cell innovations – brand new medical blockchain

The human body is just a marvellous mechanism endowed with a self-healing function. Recovering process can be made thanks to the stem cells. Using them in a treatment allows curing auto immunological illnesses like leukaemia or Parkinson disease. But the medical process is nowadays long and difficult. Using the blockchain technology can make stem cell treatment much more available for any patient in need.

When I read about the ICO of a project dealing with stem cells I was more than confused. What do they mean by the stem cell? What is that? How to use them? From where to take it? And finally, how to combine such as narrow medical issue with crypto markets? These questions were popping up to my mind when I heard about the Stem Cell Innovations’ project for the first time. For today the most obvious use of stem cell is a bone marrow transplant, which has been successfully conducted for the first time exactly 50 years ago (1968) on siblings with severe combined immunodeficiency. And from that day it appears to be a very common operation which saved thousands of lives.

In 1978 in human cord blood stem cells have been discovered. 40 years later, private banks offering to keep the baby blood for years in case of a disease possible to be cured with own cells are popping out like mushrooms after the rain. In many countries, public initiatives of cord blood usage are doing a good job promoting this field of medicine.  But the cord blood is just an example. Human fat cells can be also successfully used in a stem cell treatment.
